When is a cafe not just a cafe? When it’s a farm, an education centre, a wedding venue and a cafe. That’s the City Farm in East Perth. Go for the food and pick up some herbs while you’re there.

I haven’t been to City Farm Cafe for a while, so I was pleased to find it was just as good as last time.
The senses came to life as soon as I saw the trays on the counter. So many great choices. Crisp sausage rolls and spinach options fresh from the oven. I loved the fact that offered half sizes (although I reckon once you take a bite you’ll wish you’d bought the full size).

The match latte was creamy and a good size. I opted for the savoury muffin which I could only finish half of (I took the other half home).

With a few minutes to spare between appointments, I took a quick wander around the area. The first trail took me past the herb cart which was so tempting.

I’ll definitely be going back to hide away in this little piece of city paradise. Will also be going to the farm on a Saturday and buy some produce.
